2023 Impact Report
Every year we look back at our accomplishments and look ahead to the new year.
First and foremost a BIG THANK YOU to all our supporters and volunteers. We had a record year which has enabled us to expand our projects in 2024. We are already supporting a new El Segundo blue butterfly project in El Segundo…our first El Segundo project! And we are looking at several new locations to expand and restore habitat across the South Bay including public and school properties. As always, we are looking for volunteers who are ready to step up to bigger roles in a variety of areas including project leadership, fund raising, and logistics … so don’t hesitate to reach out if you are interested.
2023 saw a local super bloom at our current project sites, the expansion of El Segundo blue butterfly habitat, the re-arrival of native species at Wilderness Park and the Greenbelt, our biggest Earth Day celebration to date, and the opening of Redondo’s first Community Garden. With the year end shutdown of Redondo’s power plant and the expansion of our continuing and new projects we look forward with great excitement and enthusiasm to increasing our impacts in 2024.
