Redondo’s First Community Garden Team:

Our Story

The idea to start Redondo Beach’s first community garden united a group of passionate and determined community members with a shared interest in growing food and building community in the summer of 2020.

The community group soon connected with South Bay Parkland Conservancy and together advocated to the city council to establish a volunteer-run garden on city land. As of April 2022 we have received full approvals for our first garden at the southwest corner of Alta Vista Park. We are currently developing the garden space and will open to the community in June 2023.
