2024 SBPC Impact
A BIG THANK YOU to all our supporters and volunteers.
South Bay Parkland Conservancy had another record year (2024) celebrating the organization’s 20th anniversary with more events, more volunteers and more volunteer hours while working to onboard new projects and maintain current ones. SBPC was also awarded a $40K grant by US Fish and Wildlife Service for Western Monarch butterfly habitat at the Hopkins Wilderness Park overwintering site in Redondo Beach.
In 2024 the organization focused on more educational opportunities for the community including Nature Walks at Hopkins Wilderness Park, El Segundo Blue Butterfly Walks, 1 year anniversary of the Redondo Beach Community Garden and educational series, Little Book/Seed Library Ribbon Cutting at Wilderness Park, Scout Projects and educational seminars.
As always, the organization is looking for volunteers interested in a variety of areas including fundraising, grants, events and operations … please reach out if you are interested.
Any support is always appreciated!
